Thanks for Making Disability Capitol Action Day 2011 a Success!

Over 1,100 of our brothers and sisters mobilized and stuck it out through the pouring rain May 25th

It was really powerful to see so many people come out and march despite the weather and sit through the entire program without hesitation . Many participants said that they felt more unified than any year before because the rain made them realize how important it was to be together.  People helped each other find cover, get lunch and stay as dry as possible.

Thanks  to all who supported Disability Capitol Action Day by mobilizing, testified at a hearing, dropped off state budget postcards, visited your legislators and left Olmstead posters. Disability Capitol Action Day continues to be one of the largest cross-disability advocacy events nationwide!

Thank you everyone for making the 8^th Annual Disability Capitol Action Day a success! We now know that we can even do it in the rain.
